Supporting St. Francis

Raising Funds for Academics, Athletics, and More

Our Home and School Association (HSA) plays a key role in organizing a variety of “fun”draisers to support our academic and athletic programs, including field trips and other events.

The HSA works hard to help build a strong relationship between parents, teachers, and students in order to create a more involved, engaged school community. By hosting school community events, organizing volunteers, and planning teacher appreciation events, the HSA helps to create the close-knit and supportive environment we all love here at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.

Additional Ways to Support SFdS

In addition to our major fundraising events, we offer several ways to support St. Francis all year long:

  • Purchase SCRIP gift cards
  • Scan receipts through Box Tops for Education
  • Volunteer your time, knowledge, and skills
  • Make a donation

SCRIP Gift Cards

Get tuition credits and volunteer hours by purchasing gift cards for restaurants, grocery stores, and many other items. You can purchase gift cards for places you already spend money (like Land’s End for uniforms!). The school then earns money for each purchase made, and you earn tuition credits and 5 volunteer hours for every $2,000 spent. You can purchase SCRIP as outlined below:

  1. Send in a completed SCRIP form along with a check in an envelope to the school office. We will send the cards home with your child.
  2. Purchase cards in person directly from the parish office. We accept cash, check, and credit cards.
  3. Use the Raise Right app. Purchases can be loaded directly into your “wallet” in the app, or you may choose to have the cards you purchased sent home with your children.

Box Tops for Education

Participating in Box Tops for Education is an easy and free way to raise money for SFdS Catholic School! Simply scan your receipts into the app after you go to the grocery store. The app identifies eligible purchases and automatically adds them to the school’s account. The school receives a check twice a year with the Box Top earnings. Anyone can participate (think of asking friends, family, and neighbors!) and designate SFdS Catholic School to receive funds.

Volunteer

If you would like to support SFdS Catholic School, consider volunteering! Every family is required to volunteer at least 30 hours each year. Information about how you can volunteer can be found on the HSA web page and the SFdS HSA Penguin Pride Facebook Page. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator with any questions you have about volunteering.

Donate

Financial donations fuel our school’s growth by enhancing academic programs, maintaining facilities, and supporting extracurricular growth. Consider making a donation to our Annual Fund to invest in our future leaders today!

From The Parents...

"The Triglia/Trader family is a 3 generation alumni from SFDS. Our family has been strengthened spiritually, academically and morally throughout the years since my oldest sister attended the first graduating class back in the day. Now I am pleased to say that my son and daughter in law have their two sons, my grandchildren attending as well. I am so thankful to God for our school. We are so blessed to have these fine teachers amongst us to carry on the Sisters of Mercy hard work. The world has sustained some trying times since my oldest sister graduated and our wonderful school has survived and it will survive these times. I remember getting in the school bus (yes we had one bus driven by Mr.Williams to pick up Delmar and Laurel students) when we heard the sad news of President Kennedy’s assassination, preparing us through drills for fear of nuclear war, etc etc. these times are what made us strong and united. (So remember that when you are saddened because your kids have to wear a mask) In yet the annual May processions crowning our mother Mary, the beautiful first Communion processions and proud Confirmations our forever in our memories as well! We have grown to be successful executives, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs buy most importantly dedicated parents, loving grandparents and good human beings. The best investment you can give your children is the gift of a SFDS education!!!! My son will tell you at 40 years old that the foundation that was built for him during the St. Francis de Sales school years is what made him the man he is today. So blessed for our school. Thank you FatherChris LaBarge for continuing the legacy of msgr Stout and thank you Mrs. Traum and our wonderful faculty for continuing the stellar academic education of the wonderful nuns including Sr Maura. God bless our school!"
